Bucklegrove Holiday Park in Somerset has been crowned one of the top family holiday spots in the UK, earning the title of “best in England”. The park secured second place in a ranking that spanned across all UK nations, narrowly missing out on the number one spot to a Scottish caravan park.

GO Outdoors experts, who put together the list, considered factors such as pricing, visitor ratings, and amenities to assign scores out of ten. Bucklegrove impressed with a score of 9.68, and families can expect to pay an average of £79 for a two-night stay.

The park’s facilities, including a games room, playground, swimming pool, shop, and proximity to a beach, contributed to its high ranking. Researchers praised Bucklegrove, saying: “Bucklegrove Holiday Park is the best caravan site in England, situated between Cheddar and Wells in Somerset. The site is rated 4.44 stars out of five by users, and it is loved for its clean facilities and stunning views of the Somerset Levels and Brent Knoll.”

They also highlighted the park’s pet-friendly policy, ensuring that even furry family members can join in the fun.

With on-site entertainment such as a games room and swimming pool, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, with a weekend stay in July estimated at around £79, reports Somerset Live.

GO Outdoors advocates for caravan holidays as an “ideal way to explore nature and create priceless memories with family”. The study examined 100 caravanning sites throughout the UK, and the full report is available online.
