Viewers of Lorraine were taken aback on Friday morning when they witnessed weather presenter Laura Tobin stealthily make her way across the studio floor. While Laura joined stand-in host Christine Lampard to discuss Storm Eowyn, it was time for the show to transition to Andi Peters for an update on the show’s competition segment.
The camera unexpectedly panned to Laura as she crawled on the floor, prompting laughter from both Christine, Andi and the entire crew.
Audiences on Twitter quickly reacted to the blunder, with one viewer commenting: “We need more of Laura Tobin on this show asap.”
Another enthusiastically suggested: “I agree I think she should have her own show. The Laura Tobin Show – maybe @GBNEWS? ? ? ?”, reports the Express.

This light-hearted moment followed a serious revelation from Laura about her co-star Dr Hilary Jones’s crucial role in identifying her premature labour. Laura gave birth to her daughter Charlotte in 2017, but experienced early labour signs at only 27 weeks, a situation that Dr. Hilary advised her to seek immediate medical care for.
During her appearance on Laura Hamilton’s Mile Fly Club podcast, Laura shared how she initially mistook the alarm signals for false labour pains. She recounted to the host that despite her colleague Charlotte Hawkins reassuring her they were merely Braxton Hicks contractions, Dr. Hilary’s timely advice was pivotal.
“But Debbie from wardrobe sensed something was amiss and called Dr Hilary, describing the situation. He responded: ‘It sounds like she’s going to have the baby.’
“I didn’t think I was having the baby, I just thought I was having Braxton Hicks. I was really chilled.”
