The BAFTA-winning series is set to make a comeback on the BBC, with the entire boxset available on iPlayer from Wednesday, February 5. The second series, penned and starring by Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, continues from where the first series ended, leaving viewers wondering if Nic could possibly get away with murder.
Lenny Rush, who bagged a BAFTA for best male comedy performance and portrays Daisy’s on-screen son, is also slated to return. But will his character Ollie follow in Nic’s footsteps?
Other returning stars include Dustin Demri-Burns, David Fynn, Juliet Cowan, Phil Dunning, Georgie Glenn, Beatie Edney, Amanda Wilkin, Helen Ann Bauer, Marek and Karla Crome.
Series two will also feature several guest appearances including Chelsea Peretti, Tom Davis, Denise Black, Jamali Maddix, Kojey Radical, and Charlie Cooper (marking the first onscreen reunion with her sister Daisy since their Bafta-winning comedy This Country).
In the upcoming series, filmed in Bristol and the West Country, Nic finds herself ousted from the family home and forced to share a caravan with her unreliable best friend Jen, reports the Express.
The show, Am I Being Unreasonable? first aired in 2022 and its debut episode attracted an impressive 3.2 million viewers.
Daisy May Cooper has spoken out about the upcoming second series, teasing: “If you thought Lenny Rush’s BAFTA-winning performance upstaged me in series one, wait until you see his performance completely upstage me in series two where you will be left wondering whether I was even in it at all…. livid.”
Her co-star Selin Hizli added: “God bless the BBC and everyone involved for letting us have another twisted turn at this sometimes dark, sometimes funny and always mad story. It’s been a joy and a privilege to get back into the world of AIBU and we hope everyone loves watching it as much as we’ve loved making it.”
