Lidl customers have come across a new line-up joining the shower products that seem to be inspired by Lush. The soft pink product has quickly been compared to a popular range that customers can’t get anymore.
Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group, one supermarket shopper noticed the Winter Queen bottles that closely match Lush’s Snow Fairy range. Having bought two bottles for themselves, they wrote in the caption: “Lush snow fairy [alternative] at Lidl! Smells amazing and only a fraction of the price at £1.99.”
Typically hitting the shop shelves at Christmas, fans might be able to get their fix from the discount supermarket instead. Priced at just under £2, the bottles sport similar packaging to the more expensive counterparts, offering a substantial saving of £23 in some cases.
The Winter Queen product joins the likes of ‘Dizzy Rose’ and ‘Mintilicious Tingle’ from Lidl. Shoppers have been praising the new find – which boasts a “candyfloss-scented experience” with a blend of strawberry, raspberry, and vanilla, reports the Mirror.
Plenty of comments flooded in when people were made aware of the bargain find. However, people are being warned not to waste time searching the middle aisle as it’s tucked away with the usual bathroom essentials.
One said: “Oh! I need to keep an eye for this Snow Fairy [alternative]!” Another shopper shared: “I had a smell of this in the shop and it’s gorgeous. Can’t wait to try it now!”
A third customer noted their bargain find, adding: “I paid £1.79 in my Lidl. Can confirm it smells amazing!” Someone else joined in, claiming: “I’m obsessed! Need to take a trip to Lidl and find some!” Meanwhile, a fifth consumer praised the supermarket’s knack for alternatives, saying: “Lidl has done it again! It went straight in the basket, no questions asked!”
Lidl isn’t the only shop to be inspired by the decades-long success of Lush’s Snow Fairy. Primark offered their Frost Angel line during the festive season and Aldi also restocked its popular Sweet Angel gel in its infamous middle aisle.
