A man and woman have been charged with the murder of their three-month-old son, who was found unresponsive at a house in Seacombe, Merseyside Police said on Thursday. Police were called to the property on Percy Road on Sunday, November 24, to reports of concern for the child.
The boy was taken to hospital but died five days later on Friday, November 29. Klevi Pirjani, 36, and Nivalda Santos Pirjani, 34, both of Percy Road, Seacombe, appeared in court in December charged with causing grievous bodily harm and Section 18 wounding with intent.
They have now been charged in custody with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child. The pair will appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 27.
