A 29-year-old man has been charged after a major fire caused an estimated $10 million in damages to the Walmart at the Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga on Monday night.

Peel Regional Police said Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services responded at 11:30 p.m. to a call for a fire at a retail store in the City Centre-Square One Drs. area.

The large fire was contained and extinguished by fire personnel.

Investigators from the 11 Division criminal investigation bureau investigated the blaze due to its suspicious nature.

No physical injuries were reported; however, damage to the store, its inventory and lost revenue was estimated to exceed $10 million.

The scene remains under police control while the Ontario Fire Marshal investigates.

Wyatt Diamond-Harbour, of no fixed address, has been charged with arson causing damage to property and breach of a probation order.
