Peel Regional Police have charged a 16-year-old Brampton youth with first-degree murder in connection with an Aug. 30 homicide at a residential address on Milestone Dr.

Cops said they located at the scene a dead adult male who had been shot. His identify has not been released at the request of the family.

Three other Brampton individuals already charged in connection with this homicide are Parmvir Singh, 24, who was charged with first-degree murder, and Manvir Khabra, 21, and an 18-year-old male, who were both charged with manslaughter. The 18-year-old was a youth at the time of an incident and by law cannot be named.

On Jan. 16, the final suspect was arrested and charged.

“I want to commend our investigators for their diligent efforts that will bring justice to the victim and closure for the family. We will continue to investigate and hold those accountable for such senseless and heinous crimes that threaten the safety of our communities,” said Peel Regional Police deputy chief Nick Milinovich in a statement.

TORONTO MAN, 41, CHARGED IN SUSPECTED HATE PROBE

Toronto Police have charged a 41-year-old Toronto man after he allegedly approached victims and uttered homophobic slurs on Saturday in the Lake Shore Blvd. W.-Bathurst St. area.

Cops said the incident allegedly occurred at about 11:20 p.m. and they are treating it as a suspected hate-motivated offence.

Todd James Carmichael faces two counts of uttering death threats and failure to comply with a release order.
