Three people face multiple charges and a fourth person is wanted as a result of Project Kona, an investigation into a series of residential break-and-enters across York Region and the GTA.
York Regional Police executed four search warrants on Jan. 9 in Vaughan and Toronto and recovered jewelry, watches, break-and-enter tools, radio frequency jammers, a wireless signal and camera detector, a firearm and a substance believed to be fentanyl.
Ivane Zitanishvili, 42, of Vaughan, faces 12 charges, Zurab Sajaia, 40, of Toronto, faces three charges, David Sologashvili, 28, of Toronto, faces three charges and a warrant has been issued for Paata Vasadze, 51, of no fixed address, on three charges, but police said he has fled the country.
A Dropbox folder has been set up by York police with photos of the items that have not yet been claimed.
Anyone who was a victim of a residential break-and-enter between August and December can review the photos and contact police if any items are theirs. They will have to verify ownership before collecting any property.
