A child and five adults have been arrested by gardai investigating the death of a man in Bray, Co Wicklow, on Sunday.

A post-mortem examination on the deceased man, 36-year-old William Moorhouse, was scheduled for Tuesday with State Pathologist Dr Sally Anne Collis in Whitehall, Dublin.

The results of the examination will assist gardai with their investigation.

An examination of the scene by the Garda Technical Bureau has been completed.

Gardai said two men in their 20s and 40s had been arrested under the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994 on Monday.

They were detained at a Garda station in Co Wicklow.

Later on Tuesday, gardai said they had carried out seven searches under warrant and arrested four additional people in connection with the investigation.

They are described as a male juvenile, two men in their 20s, and a man in his 30s.

The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
