Sir Rod Stewart has excited fans with a fresh update, confirming he’s adding two more gigs to his ‘One Last Time Tour’ later this year. The rock icon, who’s set to take the prestigious Sunday Legend’s slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, will now also grace stages in Sofia, Bulgaria, and Athens, Greece.
Taking to Instagram, Sir Rod shared his enthusiasm: “I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be adding two more shows to my One Last Time Tour this December! ” He detailed the dates: “On December 11th, I’ll be performing in Sofia, Bulgaria, and on December 13th, I’ll be heading to Athens, Greece! Hope to see you there! “.
The tour is already packed with destinations including Toronto, Nashville, Florida, Oslo, Krakow, among other European hotspots.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the English singer, who recently turned 80 and is married to Loose Women panellist Penny Lancaster, expressed gratitude for his milestone birthday.
Sharing a throwback photo, he reached out to his followers: “Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes – 80 years young! ” He reflected on his journey: “What an incredible journey it’s been – from unforgettable moments on and off the stage to earning some truly special honors along the way. But above all, my greatest joy has always been performing for you. Cheers to the memories we’ve made and the ones still to come! #80YearsOfRod.”
Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster recently spilled the beans about her husband’s unusual dinner demands when she made an appearance on BBC Celebrity MasterChef. According to Penny, who is often seen on ITV’s Loose Women, Rod insists on a full three-course meal complete with candles every night, The Scottish Sun reports, reports the Express.
She recounted how when they first met around two decades ago, Rod had a chef, which meant she didn’t have to engage much with cooking duties. “When I first met Rod about 20 years ago he had a chef, so there wasn’t much need for me in the kitchen, thank God,” Penny said.
“Rod kind of likes the fine dining every evening, three-course dinners, candles, and it’s kind of out of my league, so I do the kids’ cooking but otherwise, not really au fait.”
