Amanda Holden has expressed concern for her Heart Radio co-host Jamie Theakston, following a fall from his motorbike on Monday.
During their latest radio show, Jamie, 54, revealed he had a swollen ankle that had caused him to limp.
Amanda voiced her worry, saying: “You’re limping at the moment, you’ve limped to the loo, you’ve limped back.
“It was your first day [back] yesterday and you fell off your motorbike.”
Jamie explained that he had forgotten to remove an extra lock on his bike, which led to his fall.
He added: “The bike landed on my leg, it’s fine but it’s a little bit swollen, the ankle is a bit swollen today.
“I am worried, if it doesn’t go down I do think you should have a little scan on it.”
Despite her suggestion, Jamie declined, adding he was “fed up of scans” after his recent cancer battle.
In a further attempt at trying to get him to listen, she claimed that a foot scan would be “quite interesting”.
Jamie returned to Heart Radio yesterday after a four-month absence due to his fight with stage one laryngeal cancer.
The presenter was diagnosed in September last year after listeners noticed a change in his voice and urged him to seek medical attention.
After undergoing three rounds of surgeries and vocal therapy, the host joyfully announced last week that he was cancer-free and set to make a comeback on the programme.
Returning to the airwaves yesterday, Jamie was visibly moved by an audio segment which featured heartfelt messages from his family and friends.
Showing her support, Amanda chimed in: “What an amazing man you are. You really fought very hard, Jamie, you’ve kept your sense of humour, which is the most important thing, I think.
“And isn’t it wonderful? It’s a terrible thing to go through, but it’s a wonderful thing to see how many people love you.”
