Chocolate fans have hailed a new Easter treat a “brilliant idea”. B&M is selling the gift as part of its latest seasonal collection.
Easter might still be months away but the supermarket shelves are already pilled high with eggs and other gifts. And the latest one at B&M has caught the attention of shoppers.
It features a selection of chocolate bars with a story linking them together. Posting on social media newfoodsuk said: “How cool is this! Something different for Easter!”
The treat has a Galaxy, Smarties, Wispa, Kinder bar and Twirl. It costs £5 from the homewares store.
Many followers loved it with Michael saying: “What a brilliant idea! Love this!” Erin added: “What’s this? A chocolate selection full of the actual good stuff? Count me in.”
Sabrina added: “That’s cute! Although would prefer if you got Easter eggs rather than bars.”
Alexis said it was “an advent calendar for Easter”. However her view was questioned with another poster asking “how is this an advent calendar for Easter?”
Another poster on Instagram said: “How has nobody thought of an Easter equivalent of a selection box til now! Fab!”
But tecklesmum didn’t agree. She asked: “Why is everyone going potty over five chocolate bars?”
And Dean commented: “The chocolate is worth £2 so being priced £5 means if you buy it you was born yesterday.”
Meanwhile Julie said: “It’s just choc bars in a fancy box lol. Not Eastery at all.”
And others had their own tips. Gill posting on Facebook said: “I’ve done my own versions of this for birthday/xmas for years.
“It’s fun thinking up a little story and fitting in different bars. My hubby loves getting his and it’s much cheaper than an over packaged version. I use a blank thin canvas board from The Works as background do you can make a huge one.”
