A food content creator sent social media into a frenzy with her healthier take on pizza using cottage cheese. Jess Thomson, also known as @jessthomofit on TikTok, revealed her take on the viral cottage cheese pizza, suggesting it as an excellent option for people watching their calorie intake.
In Jess’s version, traditional pizza dough is replaced with a protein-rich mix made from cottage cheese, reports Surrey Live. Jess’s tutorial has been a hit online; her video caption said: “Cottage cheese really IS that girl. Really easy, high protein recipe and a must SAVE.”
The creation starts by blending cottage cheese, plain flour, and eggs to form a dough, which is then baked without toppings. Upon tasting, Jess said: “Okay this is actually really good… I’m not gonna tell you that this has the exact same texture as pizza because that would be lying, and lying isn’t good.
“But if you’re in a calorie deficit, you’re craving a pizza, you need something that’s really high in protein, then I think this is a pretty good substitute. It’s mostly whole foods and it’s got almost 60 grams of protein in one serving.”
Her inventive recipe attracted over 20,000 views, earning 510 likes and sparking spirited exchanges among her audience. Amy asked: “What’s the texture like and does it have a weird cottage cheese taste. I like it in eggs but it makes me sooooo nervous.”

- 241g low fat cottage cheese
- Two eggs
- 31g plain flour
- 4g garlic granules
- 45g pizza sauce
- 15g chorizo slices
- 44g reduced fat mozzarella
- 20g parmesan
Method
Preheat your oven to 180C. Mix the seasoning, cottage cheese, eggs and flour together
Spread the mixture into a thin circle on a large lined baking tray. Cook for 20 to 25 minutes until brown.
