A new nightclub opening in Bristol city centre has announced its opening date. Circuit is set to open its doors to its first Bristol clubgoers on Friday, January 31.
Tickets for the opening night of the new venue in the former home of Bristol’s Pryzm, went on sale this evening (Sunday, January 19). BristolLive reported back in December how Bristol’s Pryzm nightclub, which had previously been home to Oceana, would close after New Year’s Eve, and split into two separate spaces.
The iconic city nightclub has undergone a refurbishment to transform it into an apres-ski party bar venue, called Barbara’s Bier Haus, and a modern club venue, called Circuit.
Circuit will be a ‘modern late-night venue’ that is said to be bringing ‘a new level of club scene to Bristol, with cutting-edge sound and light technology, new sounds and unique concepts’.
Circuit already boasts a venue over the bridge in Cardiff, which is open every Friday and Saturday. It describes itself as “Cardiff’s chosen venue”.
The Circuit Bristol Instagram account shared a post to its page on January 8. It wrote: “Listen up people! We’ve taken the keys from PRYZM and we’re happy to announce we’re opening our second venue.
“Seeing as our Cardiff venue is doing bits, we just couldn’t say no to you! New Venue. New Events. New Sound. New F’ing City. Tickets go on Sale for our opening weekend 19th Jan 7pm.
“If you want to be the first to know and have your say on what happens to Circuit Bristol, join our community chat. Link in bio. Gurt lush x”
It has since been posting a countdown to its ticket sales, as well as sneak peeks at the refurbishment inside the building on Canon’s Road. It also hinted that Pryzm’s iconic ‘cheesy dancefloor’ was no more.
