ITV The Masked Singer fans are in uproar after Tattoo was revealed to be 1980’s icon and T’Pau frontwoman Carol Decker on Saturday.
Tattoo was eliminated after a tense sing-off with Dressed Crab.
On the night, viewers were treated to a rendition of The Killers’ Human from the yet to be unmasked Decker.
However, the well-received number was not enough to save her from facing the dreaded sing-off with Dressed Crab.
In a bid to keep her place and remain masked, Decker sang her heart out with her take on Tina Turner’s Proud Mary.
Alas, it was not enough and Dressed Crab was saved from elimination by the judges and Tattoo was unmasked before having to leave the show.

Host Joel Dommett and judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, and Maya Jama were left in shock as Decker was revealed.
A dumbfounded Ross asked her: “Did any of our guesses make you think we had lost leave of our senses?”
“Kylie (Minogue). I should be so lucky!” Decker shot back cheekily.
However, her smile faded as she admitted she was “gutted” to be leaving the show.

“If you had been in a sing-off with anyone else, you’d go right through to the end but the two of you are such strong singers. That’s why,” Ross consoled.
Putting on a brave face, the 80’s icon responded: “Everybody is amazing. I’m gutted because it’s the best fun ever.”
The T’Pau hitmaker then left the stage to the thunderous applause of the audience.
“So Carol Decker unmasked… but shows Macy Gray how to do it with dignity,” one fan on X observed referencing the dramatic exit of the American singer on last week’s show.
Even with her graceful exit, fans took to social media to vent their fury at Decker’s early elimination.
“Tattoo got screwed, the first and probably not last of robberies,” one wrote on the fan-run Reddit forum for The Masked Singer.

Another raged: “Bunch of bs, Tattoo was the second best of the night.”
“How the hell did Tattoo go? She was amazing, and definitely better than Dressed Crab,” a third agreed.
A fourth fumed: “Proof that people have no idea what talent is. THEY VOTED OUT TATTOO FFS”
Looking ahead, another viewer lamented the loss of two talented contestants so early: “We are losing one of a good couple of singers this week which is disappointing.”
