The FBI has axed its DEI department before incoming president Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Trump pledged to crack down on DEI initiatives once he takes office, which has led to numerous corporations deciding to ditch their diversity policies.
These companies include Meta, McDonald’s, Walmart, and Ford.
The Federal agency began their move to close the Office of Diversity and Inclusion back in December.

It comes as director Christopher Wray faces pressure to explain their “radical” DEI initiatives after the Jan 1 terror attack in New Orleans.
In a letter to Wray, Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn said diversity practices has “endangered our national security and the lives of all Americans”.
She hit out at the FBI’s “prioritisation of diversity over competence”, claiming Americans are now feeling increasingly unsafe.
She added: “Fortunately, the American people have spoken, and President Trump will soon bring law and order back to our nation.”

After the assasination attempt on Trump in July of last year in Pennsylvania, federal agencies, including his own secret service, faced backlash for prioritising diversity over pragmatism.
This came after viral footage online showed a female secret service agent apparently struggling to holster her weapon at the rally in Pennsylvania.
Republican congressman Tim Burchett blamed then-Secret Service chief Kinmberly Cheatle, who wanted more female and non-white agents.
The agency is attempting to hit a goal of increasing female agents by 30 per cent by 2030, a move some argue is wrong as critics say females make less effective agents than men.

Speaking to Fox News on Thursday, the agency said: “In recent weeks, the FBI took steps to close the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), effective by December 2024.”
Trump has picked Kash Patel to replace Christopher Wray as director.
Patel has vowed to completely reshape the bureau, and has proposed shutting down the headquarters in Washington.
He has also advocated cutting the federal government’s intelligence community.
