Home Bargains has launched a brand new beauty product that could not only be mistaken for Charlotte Tilbury due to its packaging, but also its ingredients. Shoppers have been overjoyed to see the cream in stores, as getting your hands on a pot of the designer brand’s popular Magic Cream will cost £54.

However, thanks to Home Bargains’ own version, customers only need to fork out £3.99. The huge price difference means skincare lovers can save themselves about £50.

The £3.99 beauty product is by a brand called Victoria Harper and is called ‘Mystical Cream’. It’s similar to Charlotte Tilbury’s £54 Magic cream, which is one of the UK’s best-selling moisturisers.

Victoria Harper’s Mystical Cream promises to “plump” and “firm” skin. Meanwhile, Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic cream is designed to also “plump the look of skin” and “diminish the look of wrinkles”, leaving your complexion “visibly glowing and prepped for flawless makeup”.

Comparing key ingredients in the £3.99 and £54 products, there are several which are the exact same. They both are made with Tocopheryl Acetate, which is an antioxidant.

They also contain ‘skin-brightening’ Ascorbic Acid. Others include Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate and ‘soothing’ Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice.

Many people who have tried the £3.99 cream have given it high praise. On TikTok, beauty enthusiast Ash, who goes by the username Makeupbyash.x, uploaded a video of her applying the budget cream.

“Did I seriously just find a Charlotte Tilbury magic cream [alternative] in Home Bargains?” She asked viewers. “This is packed full of Charlotte Tilbury’s main ingredients.

“Vitamin C, vitamin E and Hyaluronic acid, canola oil and aloe vera. So they have nailed all the main ingredients.” She added: “But it is missing peptides and one other ingredient.

“For the price difference, I think it’s about £50 for a pot of Charlotte Tilbruy’s magic cream, and this was £3.99. I’m so impressed that they have actually tried to match the ingredients and they haven’t just gone for packaging.”

She continued: “It smells and feels very, very expensive, and it also feels really hydrating on the skin. It hasn’t left it feeling greasy. If you see this in your Home Bargains, I would definitely buy one.”
