Carlos Alcaraz has revealed he plans on getting a kangaroo tattoo if he wins the Australian Open this winter, having powered his way into round four of the competition.
The 21-year-old is bidding to become the youngest man to win the career Grand Slam, having previously secured glory at the French Open, Wimbledon and US Open over the course of his career.
Alcaraz is now through to the fourth round after a 6-2, 6-4, 6-7, 6-2 victory over Portugal’s Nuno Borges.
He could meet Jack Draper next, with the Briton currently preparing for his showdown with Aleksandar Vukic – which will take place later today.

Alcaraz, speaking after beating Borges, has now revealed he plans on getting a kangaroo tattoo if he’s able to go all the way.
“I will get a kangaroo [tattoo] for sure, that’s my idea,” said the tennis star.
“The only thing missing is to lift the trophy here but it’s definitely the plan if it happens.”
Alcaraz has previously marked his Grand Slam triumphs by getting inked.
He already has a tattoo of his 2022 US Open triumph, where he beat Casper Ruud in four sets to etch his name into the history books.
Alcaraz also has the Eiffel Tower on his body to represent his triumph at the French Open last year.
And the Spaniard has a strawberry in tribute of his two Wimbledon titles, which were secured in 2023 and 2024.
Alcaraz has never made it past the quarter-final stage of the Australian Open.

But he was pleased with his display against Borges and admitted he was looking to entertain the crowd with his performances Down Under.
“I’m really happy to play here again. I tried to show my best tennis on a beautiful court and the last time I played here I lost so I wanted to play here and win,” he said.
“It’s a privilege to feel this love. I try to play different tennis, show the shots that I enjoy doing and show my good tennis and try to entertain the people as well and make them happy.”
Alcaraz also thanked the fans who came out and watched him at the Rod Laver Arena.
