According to Betway, the top five female stars likely to be behind Snail’s disguise are as follows. Spice Girls legend Emma Bunton leads at 3/1 odds, followed closely by popular TV personality Emma Willis at 4/1.

Celebrity chef Mary Berry ranks at 5/1, then Nicola Coughlan, known for Bridgerton, at 7/1, and West End star Amber Davies at 10/1, reports the Mirror.

A spokesperson from Betway, Mike Reading, commented: “There’s just a day to go until either Wolf, Toad in the Hole, Bear, Bush or Pufferfish face the final curtain call and are unmasked – in an exit that’s already been teased to be one of the most shocking in the show’s history.

“Already, fans and the panel alike have guessed famous names, from actor David Tennant as Wolf (5/1) to singers Macy Gray as Toad in the Hole (5/1) and Jamie-Lynn Spears as Pufferfish (5/1), and even celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay as Bear (8/1). The guessing game for The Masked Singer contestants’ identities has fans gripped, with Jamie-Lynn Spears widely speculated to be the voice behind the Pufferfish. Best known for her role in Zoey 101, Jamie-Lynn, Britney Spears’ younger sister, also made appearances on Dancing With The Stars and I’m A Celebrity.

Sleuthing Reddit users have pieced together clues hinting that Pufferfish might indeed be Jamie-Lynn Spears. For instance, the clue package featured a spider that could link back to her stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! last year. Additionally, the American accent of Pufferfish struck a chord with the theory.

Other hints included a dice showing the number 11, which some suggest nod at Jamie rising to fame at the age of 11. References like ‘Runs in the family’ are seen as a possible pointer to her superstar sister Britney, while ‘Small but just as impressive’ could be pointing towards Jamie-Lynn’s stature as the shorter, yet equally talented sibling.

The next episode of The Masked Singer UK will air on Saturday 18 January at 7pm on ITV1
