A relationship therapist believes that Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews may have made a wise move by deciding to part ways on their joint podcast. Last week, Spencer revealed his departure from the show after a four-year run, citing a desire “to pursue other business interests” and focus on his upcoming triathlon event.

Sofie Roos, from Passionerad, believes that this decision could open up a refreshing new phase in their marriage. She explained: “It’s always tricky mixing and switching between working roles and private roles as a couple.

“Now working apart from each other, I think they will enjoy their time as a couple even more. It will also save lots of energy not needing to actively separate those roles all the time.”

Sofie additionally points out that while combining professional and personal lives can be successful for some couples, it often adds “extra pressure”, and may lead to a blurring of boundaries that could harm the relationship.

“[People] don’t realise that the line between being co-workers and partners can slowly fade and can kill the love long-term,” she added.

With these considerations, Sofie believes Vogue and Spencer may have “dodged a bullet” with ending their podcast partnership at its peak.

She further commented that earning independently could also enhance the quality of the time they spend together outside of work. .

Vogue and Spencer, who tied the knot in 2018, are parents to three young children; Theodore, five, Gigi, three, and Otto, two.

In a previous interview with The Sun, Vogue, 39, revealed that she and Spencer had differing opinions on expanding their family.

She said: “If I said, ‘Let’s go with it’ [Spencer] would do it straight away, but I think of the logistics, whereas he doesn’t. And he doesn’t have to carry a baby for nine months, so it’s a bit more of a decision for me. I’ll probably be still thinking about it when I’m 50!”.

From this comment, Sofie believes that Vogue may be leaning towards not having any more children, possibly due to her age and Spencer’s new focus on his upcoming challenge.
