A New Jersey businesswoman who once had ties to a children’s recreation facility is accused of sexually assaulting a teen boy multiple times and sending him nude photos of herself on social media.

Tara Carr, 46, of Woodstown, was arrested Jan. 9 and is facing charges including sexual assault, endangerment and child luring.

According to NBC affiliate WCAU in Philadelphia, New Jersey State Police received a report last May of a woman who performed sexual acts on a boy between 13 and 16 years old.

A state cop interviewed the teen and his parents, who accused the woman of multiple sexual assaults that occurred at a park between March and May 2024.

The boy, 14, was picked up by the woman from school and sexually assaulted in her vehicle, police allege in court filings.

Investigators were told by the boy that the woman also shared sexually explicit messages and images with him on social media app Snapchat.

When interviewed by police, the woman admitted she sent explicit content to the boy on social media, the affidavit said.

The teen’s accusations were confirmed following a search of her cellphone and vehicle, police said.

According to Philadelphia ABC affiliate WPVI, Carr was a former part owner of Rastelli Kids Complex, a family owned and operated children’s sports complex in nearby Deptford Township, home of the South Jersey Storm cheerleading program. She was also a former kids summer program director.

“While Tara was previously an owner of RKC, she has never had any involvement in the operations or coaching of any SJS Cheer Programs or teams — and she will continue to not have any role with SJS,” said a message sent to cheer families, WPVI reports.

A spokesperson said Carr left Rastelli Kids Complex last year before the start of summer camp.
