Alex Jones shared a blunt quip to Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse’s tour wish during The One Show.

On Wednesday evening (January 15), The One Show saw Alex Jones, alongside Vernon Kay, presenting with guests including Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse and acclaimed actress Eve Myles gracing the red sofa.

As they kicked off the programme, conversation quickly turned to Motsi’s stint on the forthcoming Strictly Come Dancing tour.

Vernon Kay revealed Motsi will be excited to try regional dishes across the country, including Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham, London and Sheffield. He teased the Strictly Come Dancing judge will enjoy the popular Scottish dish haggis.

Wales Online reports he said: “Joining us in the studio is someone we know very well – Strictly’s Motsi Mabuse is here to reveal why she’s looking forward to joining the team on tour and sampling some of the UK’s best dishes along the way including she’s going to have her first haggis!”.

Alex made the blunt quip: “Brave! ” causing a chuckle from Vernon who quipped back: “It’s brilliant haggis! You not a haggis fan?”

With a laugh, Alex conceded: “I don’t know, I have never tried it! Bring some in,” signalling her openness to new culinary experiences.

Known for its unique mix of minced sheep offal, oatmeal, suet, onion, and spices all traditionally encased in a sheep’s stomach, haggis can be quite divisive in its appeal.

Haggis is traditionally served as part of the Burns supper on or near January 25 and is a proud Scottish dish.

Motsi Mabuse excitedly announced on The One Show that she’s joining the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing tour following encouragement from her daughter.

She expressed her enthusiasm: “Yes, I’m actually really excited (about going on the Strictly Come Dancing tour).

“I seem to be the only person that’s excited about touring the UK at this (time of the) year. Everybody’s like, it’s gonna rain but I’ve never been here like in with such an extent.

“I’m going to Glasgow and I’ve never been to Scotland. My parents are coming over (…) and I said I don’t care what the weather’s like, you know, you can dress right, you can put a raincoat and go out there.

“I’m going to meet some of the Strictly candidates like meeting Dr Punam (Krishan) so I’m going to get a whole bash of the country, and sightseeing and everything I can do.”
