Love Island fans are concerned for contestant Gabby Allen after believing she still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend Marcel Sommerville. Allen and Sommerville came fourth in the third season of Love Island, but the pair eventually split after Sommerville cheated whilst the couple were on holiday.
Whilst both are participating in the latest season of Love Island: All Stars, neither realised the other would also be stepping back into the villa making for an awkward reunion. The pair had a confrontation about the tumultuous ending of their relationship, before having a private conversation.
Sommerville expressed his regret, saying: “I regret everything that I did and I apologise so much because I didn’t ever want to hurt you. Me doing that was out of character for me and I regretted it immediately. Listen, I accept your apology.”
Allen replied: “I don’t want it, like, to rule our whole time in here and I don’t want to hate each other.”
And whilst in that moment the former couple might have thought their chapter was closed, the public had a different idea, voting them to be a couple on the first night. Now, fans are suspecting that feelings might still be involved, at least for Allen.
On social media, viewers are expressing their belief that the pair might rekindle their romance after the airing of the second episode.
“I hate myself for saying this buttttt the flirting, the chemistry… I can see them getting back together,” wrote one user.
Another added, “Gabby you still like this man???”
Whilst many also noticed the chemistry between the pair, they weren’t keen on the reunion. “Why is Gabby smiling with Marcel…” one commented. Another asked, “Gabby you still like this man???”
The next few episodes will reveal whether there is a second chance for the exes, or if they really are leaving the past in the past.
