Pub chain JD Wetherspoon is to open four new locations as part of its partnership with Haven holiday parks. Haven has announced four new on-site Wetherspoon pubs, including one at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park, named The Red Rocks.

The move builds on an exclusive operating agreement with the pub company, which saw the first on-site Wetherspoon pub launch at Primrose Valley last year.

In Spring 2025, the four new JD Wetherspoon pubs will open at Haven’s holiday parks at Devon Cliffs, Kent Coast in Kent, Cleethorpes Beach in Lincolnshire, and Haggerston Castle in Northumberland.

Haven has invested £1.9 million in the new The Red Rocks pub, with an overall investment of £6.7 million in the expansion of the JD Wetherspoon partnership. This is part of a broader £8.3 million investment in enhancing the holiday park operator’s food and beverage offerings for 2025 across all parks, which includes two new Burger Kings at Hopton Holiday Park and Lakeland Holiday Park.

It follows a wider £100 million investment in Haven’s parks across 2024, including additional pitches and a new fleet.

Over the past 18 months, other significant investments include a new Chopstix food and beverage outlet, and 27 new caravan pitches, with a further six to open in March, boosting holidaymaker capacity and catering to the increased staycation demand.

Over the past five years, 60 new venues have opened across Haven’s own brands and franchise partners. The recent addition of JD Wetherspoon brings Haven’s total number of franchised partnerships to six, joining a lineup of household names, including Burger King, Papa Johns, Millie’s Cookies, Slim Chickens, and Chopstix.

Simon Palethorpe, Haven’s Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with JD Wetherspoon by introducing four new pubs at our parks. The opening of The Red Rocks at Devon Cliffs reflects our ongoing efforts to grow and enhance our food and beverage partnerships and offerings, and we look forward to bringing this experience to even more locations across the UK for our guests and holiday homeowners to enjoy.”

John Hutson, Chief Executive of JD Wetherspoon, said: “We look forward to the opening of the four new Wetherspoon pubs at Haven holiday parks. Our pub at Primrose Valley has proven a great success and we are confident that the four new pubs will be welcomed by guests and owners.”

Since opening in February 2024, the JD Wetherspoon pub The Five Stones at Primrose Valley has already seen over 168,000 draught pints poured, 25,000 bottles of beer and cider served, and nearly 200,000 soft drinks enjoyed by guests. 67,000 breakfasts have been plated, and 314,000 main meals sold, excluding sides and extras.

Acquired by Blackstone in 2021, Haven has invested over £410 million in its parks across 2021, 2022 and 2023.
