Princess Kate stunned in a burgundy outfit for her first solo outing in over a year, where she also donned her “replacement ring”.

The Princess of Wales, 43, visited the Royal Marsden Hospital this morning to thank the staff who cared for her throughout her chemotherapy treatment.

For her outfit, Kate wore a burgundy jumper from Gabriela Hearst, which retails for £710.

She paired it with a £595 skirt from Edeline Lee, described as an “asymmetrically pleated midi skirt.”

For footwear, Kate donned brown heels from Russell and Bromley, which she has owned since 2016.

The mother-of-three opted for a bespoke tailored version of her Blaze Milano checked blazer.

In addition, Kate carried a mini handbag from Asprey, which retails for £3,250.

The Princess of Wales did not wear her sapphire engagement ring today, which previously belonged to Princess Diana.

Instead, the royal wore her “replacement” infinity ring, which is reported to have been a gift from Prince William.

Kate was first spotted wearing the jewel in a video last August to thank Team GB after the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

She later wore the ring when visiting bereaved family members of the Southport stabbing victims alongside the Prince of Wales.

The jewel contains sapphires and diamonds and is likely a nod to Diana’s iconic sapphire engagement ring.

During her visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital, Kate thanked staff for the “exceptional care” she received as a patient.

Speaking candidly about the difficulties of returning to normal life, the princess said: “Sometimes from the outside, we all think you’ve finished treatment and you go back to things. But it’s hard to get back to normal.”

It was announced today that Kate and William have both become joint patrons of the hospital.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said: “The Princess wanted to make the journey to both show her gratitude to the incredible team, but also highlight the world-leading care and treatment the Marsden provides.”
