Zara and Mike Tindall are prepared to step up for Prince William if he calls for them, according to a royal expert.
The Tindall couple have been spotted displaying their affection during their annual visit to Australia’s Gold Coast for the 2025 Magic Millions events.
The Olympic equestrian, 43, and former England rugby star, 46, were seen embracing at the prestigious event, which they have attended regularly since 2013.
Zara, serving as an ambassador for Magic Millions, participated in the Barrier Draw wearing white polo trousers and a red event top.

Mike, dressed in a floral blue shirt and beige shorts, interviewed his wife during the proceedings, playfully declaring there was “only one winner.”
The couple’s connection to Australia runs deep, as it was where they first met in 2003 while Zara was on her gap year and Mike was competing in the Rugby World Cup.
They were joined at the event by Prince Harry’s polo friend Nacho Figueras and his wife, Delfina Blaquier.
Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond has praised the couple’s genuine connection, telling the Mirror: “Zara really is a remarkably beautiful woman, no wonder Mike always looks so proud and happy.”

She added: “The feeling is mutual: she oozes love for her big bear of a rugby star husband, with his crooked nose and rugged appeal.”
The expert highlighted how the public responds positively to their natural demeanour, noting: “I think we all enjoy seeing them out and about together, usually arm in arm or having a cuddle – living life to the full.”
Bond also commented on their unique position within the monarchy: “Although they don’t have titles, they obviously have the cachet of being so much part of the extended Royal Family.
“They have managed to use that commercially without getting into too much bother.”
According to Bond, the Tindall’s currently enjoy “the very best of both worlds” and are unlikely to want any changes to their current arrangement.

She said: “They are both very close to William, and if he calls on them again (as he did at a recent garden party), they will definitely agree.”
The royal expert clarified that this support would not extend to official working roles.
She explained: “Not to an official working role, nor do I think the public would want to fund any more working royals.”
