Smash-and-grab robberies have gained attention throughout the GTA and beyond over the last month.

Cops said the suspects, armed with hammers, forced entry into the store and demanded that employees open a safe. The suspects stole cellphones before fleeing in black sedan and a blue hatchback.
Before that, on Dec. 30, police were called to two smash-and-grab retail store robberies within minutes of each other in Toronto.
