Elma Pazar, former Love Island contestant, confessed she fibbed about her age when joining the ITV2 dating show.
The Essex lash technician, who was matched with Anton Danyluk during her 2019 stint, fessed up on the Love Island Morning After podcast with hosts Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free.
She admitted: “I lied about my age on Love Island. I tell everyone I’m 23, it’s a real issue,” before coming clean with “I’m 26, but now everyone knows it because they said they couldn’t lie for me.”
Yet, even at her actual age, Elma wasn’t close to being the oldest Islander; that year, the average contender was 24.
Islanders such as Amy Hart and Michael Griffiths were also 26, Arabella Chi, Anna Vakili, and Maura Higgins were 28, and Tom Walker was 29, reports OK!.
Fast forward, and now 31, Elma is prepping to dive back into the romantic fray in the upcoming All-Stars version of the show this Monday.
Speculation is rife among Love Island fans, who are tipping Scott Thomas, the 36-year-old season two contestant, as her probable pairing.
Social media buzzed with predictions, encapsulated by one fan’s comment: “Elma and Scott Thomas all the way. She will be great and I really want her with Scott Thomas they are both such down to earth people.”
One fan speculated: “Her (Elma) and @scott.thomas will fall in love.” Another chimed in with: “”Both happy, smiley, funny, out going people they are the perfect match. “”.
Previously, Elma hinted at a potential appearance on the show after declining an offer to be part of series one. She revealed to The Sun: “I was asked to do All Stars and I didn’t go on it.
“My friend Georgia Steel was going on it, and she was like, ‘Why don’t you do it?’ but my head wasn’t in the right headspace. Do you know what it is, I feel like I’m too old. I’m 31. I feel like I’m going to be a fossil and everyone else is going to be too young.”
At that point, Elma confessed that she might consider returning to the villa for the second series of the spin-off. She stated: “Maybe, who knows, if they ask me again – I know they cast in September, so maybe.”
Love Island All Stars season two will premiere on Monday, January 13 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
