Police have found the body of a man in a reservoir in the South West. Gloucestershire Police were called following a report the man had been discovered in the water on Boxing Day in the Witcombe Reservoir near Brockworth in Gloucesteshire.

The body of a man who is believed to be in his 70’s was found on December 26 by officers. His death is not believed to be suspicious and the Coroner’s Office has been informed, as GloucesteshireLive reports.

A Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman said: “The body of a man was discovered at Witcombe Reservoir near Brockworth earlier this week.

“Police were called at around 1.50pm on Wednesday (26 December) with a report that the body of a man in his 70s had been found in the water.

“The man’s next of kin is aware and the death is being treated as non-suspicious. The Coroner’s Office has also been informed.”
