Film fans are set for a treat as comedy stars join the voice cast of Wallace and Gromit for their much-awaited return to screens with Vengeance Most Fowl.

In this new adventure produced in Aardman’s Bristol HQ, the beloved British duo of cheese enthusiast inventor Wallace and his dog Gromit battle a new challenge in the form of a ‘smart gnome’ which begins to take on a rather troublesome life of its own. Adding to their woes, the pair’s arch-enemy, Feathers McGraw, seeks retribution and aims to thwart our heroes once and for all.

The upcoming film, directed by Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park alongside Merlin Crossingham, will air on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer at 6.10pm this Christmas Day.

The Mirror reports the official synopsis for the film: “The highly-anticipated feature-length film sees Gromit’s growing concern as Wallace becomes over-dependent on his inventions – which proves justified when Wallace creates a ‘smart gnome’ that seems to develop an evil mind of its own.

“As events begin to spiral out of control, it’s up to Gromit to put aside his qualms and battle sinister forces, or Wallace may never be able to invent again!”
