The PSNI have warned people not to drink and drive over the Christmas period as they shared the wreckage of a car following a crash in Armagh on Sunday.
Police confirmed a man was arrested for a number of driving offences including excess alcohol following the single vehicle crash on the Monaghan Road last night.
The PSNI said the car involved hit a tree.
Posting on social media, the Police Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon said: “The message just isn’t clear enough for some.
“Tonight Response officers from B section Armagh responded to reports of a single vehicle RTC on the Monaghan Road, Armagh.
“After colliding with a tree, the driver abandoned his car exposing road users to further risk.
“A 20yr old male was located a short time later and arrested for numerous driving offences including driving with excess alcohol.
“Do not put yourself or others at risk on our roads. Do not leave an empty seat at the table this Christmas.
“Never ever drink and drive.”
