Ryanair had the most delayed flights out of Bristol Airport in December last year. New figures show some 58% of the airline’s flights to Madrid were delayed by at least 15 minutes.
That’s the same delay ratio as the easyJet flight to Funchal, but the Madrid flight had a higher average delay at 58 minutes compared to 26 minutes for Funchal. More than a third (36%) of all flights from UK airports were delayed by at least 15 minutes last December, according to punctuality data from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The Loganair flight to Aberdeen had the next highest delay ratio out of Bristol, with 55% of flights delayed by at least 15 minutes last December. The easyJet flight to Prague was next with 53% followed by Ryanair to Wroclaw at 46%.
The most delayed routes in the country can all be found at other airports. All of the 23 Egypt Air flights from Manchester to Cairo last December were delayed by at least 15 minutes.
The route had an average delay of one hour and seven minutes. The Tunisair route from Heathrow to Tunis was the next-least reliable, with 92% of flights delayed by 15 minutes or more last December. The route had an average delay of two hours.
