Iceland has sent out “important information” to shoppers – ahead of its UK stores closing for Christmas next week. The UK retailer has more than 900 stores across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
For those who would prefer not to go into its shops, Iceland offers a home delivery service to customers, with many often able to book an order for that same day. However, in an email sent out this week, Iceland explained there will be some changes.
The message reads: “As a valued customer we want to inform you of changes to our delivery slots during the run up to Christmas. To ensure we offer the best possible service, same day delivery slots will not be available between Saturday 21st and Tuesday 24th December.
“However, these delivery slots are still bookable in advance and we will continue to release delivery slots 6 days in advance. Our stores will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and our same day delivery service will resume from Thursday 27th December.”
The emails go on to explain that a minimum spend of £25 is required to place an online order, and that this will incur a £4 delivery charge – up to the value of a £39.99 spend. Shoppers, it said, can get free next day delivery for orders of £40 or more.
Delivery charges, Iceland said, may apply for orders placed on other delivery days.
