Former Northern Ireland international Warren Feeney is the new manager of National League South side Weymouth.
The former Glentoran and Linfield boss has been hired to help the Dorset club avoid relegation after a difficult start to the season left them with just 12 points from their first 20 league games.
Feeney replaces Mark Molesley, who parted company with Terras last month with the club rock bottom of the sixth tier.
The 43 year-old is set to leave his job in California as Head Coach of Soccer Universities, to take up the vacant post at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
Weymouth chairman Paul Maitland said: “After a thorough selection process, we are delighted to announce that Warren Feeney has been appointed as the Weymouth Football Club First Team manager, effective immediately.
“Warren will conduct his first training session with the squad this week.
“We received over 25 applications and interviewed six candidates for the role. The board was overwhelmingly in favour of appointing Warren, and we are excited to have him join us. The high standard and quality of applicants is a testament to the club’s appeal, and we wish Warren every success.
“Our primary mission is to remain in the National League South, and the board will support Warren in every possible way to achieve this goal. Looking beyond survival, our medium-term objective is for Weymouth Football Club to once again compete for league titles and push for promotion.
“However, we are committed to achieving success sustainably.”
After an impressive playing career Feeney was named manager of Linfield in 2014, before taking charge of League Two club Newport County in 2016. He returned to the Irish League with Ards in 2018 before stints with Bulgarian club Pirin Blagoevgrad and National League outfit Welling United.
He returned to his native east Belfast in 2023 to manage Glentoran, only to leave The Oval in March of 2024.
One familiar face for Feeney is his former Northern Ireland teammate Josh McQuoid, who joined the club in 2023 after recovering from a rare form sarcoma.
