Prince William was hailed as a “glorious gentleman” and the “beating heart” of the Earthshot Prize by an Emmy Award-winning actress.
The Prince of Wales filmed a comedy sketch with Hannah Waddingham to promote his new environmental documentary, The Earthshot Report, which aired on BBC1 on Saturday evening.
The friends attempted to play a game of darts at Alexandra Palace, the location of the first Earthshot Prize Awards in 2021, ahead of the venue hosting the World Darts Championships.
Waddington described the occasion as “absolutely thrilling” in an interview with Parade Magazine.

She said: “What a glorious gentleman he is.
Waddington recalled telling the prince: “Sir, I hope you realise you are a cut above the rest.”
The British Actress, who hosted the Earthshot report documentary, was also in attendance for Princess Kate’s Together at Christmas carol concert at the beginning of December.
She was spotted smiling in a floral dress and deep burgundy jacket.

During the interview, she added: “He has created the Earthshot organisation, and he isn’t a poster boy for it.
“It was very obvious from being out there that he is the beating heart, and he really does care.”
“He absolutely has those finalists and the people that are in that whole competition, he holds them up, he gets them everything they need.
“That man is passionate about the environment, and I was very proud to be there being a kind of figurehead for his organisation.”

Prince William was described as “completely overpowered” as he was “teased” for missing the darts board by a celebrity A-list actress, by body language expert Judi James.
She said: “It’s rather sweet to see William completely over-powered in his performance here by the assertive, statuesque and funny Hannah Waddingham, who reduces him to a state of chuckling fan.
James also suggested that the Prince of Wales “might secretly be in awe of” the Ted Lasso star.
The documentary, promoted by the pair, showcased locations across the globe that aimed explore the inspiring stories of environmental innovators working to deliver solutions which aim to protect and restore our planet for future generations.
