If you’re looking for the best-value Christmas dinner for you and the family on December 25, look no further than Lidl – which has slashed its prices as of today (December 17), so it will now cost just £1.87 per head for a festive feast with all the trimmings.
The budget supermarket has reduced the cost of everything from gravy, parsnips, and potatoes, to a whole turkey, with some bags of veg – including a 1kg bag of carrots, or a 2kg bag of spuds – now costing as little as 15p.
Meanwhile, Lidl’s full fresh turkey range is set to land in stores later this week, from December 19 – and prices start at as little as £2.95 per kg for a Birchwood whole turkey, whether it is small, medium, or large.
Other bargain prices to be had in Lidl’s Christmas range include 15p for 500g bags of Brussels sprouts and parsnips, and 40p for Newgate stuffing, as well as for a bag of 15 Yorkshire puddings.
Meanwhile, Lidl’s turkey breast range will include an 800g Braemoor turkey breast joint for just £5.49, a Birchwood turkey crown – either small, medium, or large – for £7.99 per kg, and a Deluxe Broadland Free Range Turkey, weighing between 4-7kg, also for £7.99 per kg.
In fact, Lidl can feed a family of six this Christmas for a total of just £11.26 – prices that can’t be beaten at any other supermarket without being signed up to their loyalty schemes. For comparison, fellow budget supermarket Aldi is selling one kilogram of carrots for 69p – more than four times the price of Lidl.
And prices are set to drop even further on Thursday (December 19), as Lidl’s full fresh turkey range is released – with this unbeatable prices available until Christmas Eve, while stocks last.
