When it comes to fragrances, I’m always eager to try something new – especially one that has just launched. A fresh scent can evoke new memories, and as soon as I got a whiff of Kayali’s latest Yum Boujee Marshmallow 81 fragrance, I knew it would become a staple in my perfume collection.
It’s sweet, indulgent, and so delightful you could almost eat it (though, please don’t), it’s the kind of perfume that immediately grabs attention. I’ve received numerous compliments since I started wearing it, and given how many of my friends have commented on its aroma, I know it will be a hit this Christmas.
The best way to describe its smell is a blend of strawberry milkshake and vanilla cake, yet it manages to steer clear of being overly sweet or juvenile. The initial notes are sugary, but it soon settles into a more refined vanilla-based scent with hints of floral notes and musk which help balance it.

I can vouch for this, as those are some of my all-time favourite perfumes and this one has quickly joined their ranks, reports the Mirror.
It’s also incredibly long-lasting – just one or two sprays should see you through the day. I’ve also noticed that I can still smell it on my jacket the next day after I’ve been wearing it.
Considering you don’t need to use too much of it per wear, it means a bottle should last you a pretty long time, making it a great investment.
Don’t just take my word for it, though. On the Sephora website, the Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow has racked up an impressive 4.6 out of 5 star rating, with people praising it for both its longevity and amazing scent.
One wrote: ” Stunning fragrance, this is my new favourite Kayali scent. It layers beautifully with yum gel pistachio and vanilla 28.”
Whilst another added: “I am obsessed. On the first initial spray I really get that strong strawberry milkshake but the it fades to the most beautiful sweet, sexy, vanilla marshmallow goodness. 10000/10 and lasts all day on my skin!”
Agreeing with this statement, a third said: “This is 100% my new favourite perfume. Since using this I get so many compliments on how I smell. I love that. It’s not too warm, but it also smells rich and clean. Once I run out of this small size. I’m definitely going to need a full size bottle.”

However, some users were less impressed, with one stating: “I was super excited about this, being that I LOVE Yum Pistachio and because this was super hyped up. I like the smell, however I couldn’t smell it less than 1 hour later. Very disappointed.”
Another reviewer had a similar experienced and shared: “Beautiful scent but smells more like bubblegum than strawberries. It’s a very light fragrance when it dries down. I barely notice it after an hour or two. I wish it lasted longer and actually “intense” like it’s listed.”
