A magical Christmas market at a 300-year-old palace is only 90 minutes from Bristol. Guests rave about the stunning festive day trip, which offers far more than just stalls.

As well as being based in beautiful ground with a waterfall, there are also fairground rides including a Ferris wheel.

This year, Blenheim Palace has an after-dark illuminated light trail with a chance of seeing Father Christmas along the way. Inside, the palace has been transformed into Neverland to retell the classic fairytale of Peter Pan.

Each room has been transformed into a different part of the story from a moonlit London skyline and onto the Mermaid Lagoon. The Christmas market is based in the venue’s great court and is running between November 17 until December 22.

Tripadvisor is full of raving reviews about festive spot. One person wrote: “My partner and I visited the Neverland exhibition and had the most magical time. I was truly immersed in the Peter Pan story and the detail was just incredible. Each room was so special and the amount of thought and effort put into this was outstanding. We travelled 3 hours to get to the palace and 3 hours back and it far exceeded my expectations and was definitely worth it the trip!”

Whilst another said: “Fantastic evening out, great atmosphere, superbly organised, lighting and music was absolutely amazing. So recommend this event for everyone of all ages”

And a third added: “The Christmas experience at Blenheim was not a cheap one but my goodness it was worth every penny. Music, lights, market, food. Fabulous. If you have mobility problems the light trail may be worth giving a miss as it takes about an hour but it is stunning.”
