The Strictly Come Dancing final will take place on Saturday night, December 14, with one star set to claim the glitterball trophy. The 22nd series grand finale will feature the four remaining couples performing on the dance floor for the final time in a bid to impress the judges and viewers alike in order to win the fabulous Glitterball trophy. Fans are naturally hugely excited about the prospect.
Eleven couples have already been eliminated, with Pete Wicks and Jowita Przysta being the latest to depart during the semi-final, leaving only the strongest competitors. Judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood will score the routines, but the public will ultimately decide the winning couple via a live vote.
Ahead of the finale, BBC Breakfast hinted at which celebrity and professional dancer might emerge victorious. A reporter stated: “Chris McCausland is Strictly’s first blind contestant, and the comedian has emerged as bookmakers’ favourite to win.
“He and his professional partner Dianne Buswell will reprise their couple choice routine to the John Lennon classic Instant Karma, which went viral on social media.”
Chris and Dianne are leading with the bookmakers, as the 47-year-old comedian stands at 1/12 to win the competition, according to comparison site Oddschecker, reports the Mirror.
The pair will compete on the dance floor against actress Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JLS star JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, and former Love Island contestant Tasha Ghouri and pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec. JB and Lauren are currently second favourites to win with odds of 20/1, while Sarah and Vito are third favourites at 45/1.
Meanwhile, Tasha and Aljaz have seen their odds drop to 66/1, putting them in fourth place. In the two-and-a-half hour Strictly final, the four couples will perform three routines: two of their previous dances from the series, and a newly-created show dance.
