Dianne Buswell has posted a heartfelt message to Chris McCausland as they gear up for their final performances on Strictly Come Dancing. The duo have secured their place in the BBC One dance competition’s finale, set to take place this weekend.

After a 13-week journey, only four couples remain in the BBC One dance showdown, with just one pair set to hoist the coveted Glitterball trophy this Saturday (December 14), marking the conclusion of the 2024 series.

Joining Chris and Dianne in the final are Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, and Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec. They will all vie for the title in Strictly’s 20th-anniversary series, each performing three dances in the hope of being crowned champions.

In anticipation of the final, it was disclosed what each couple will be dancing to in the series’ last episode, where they will each perform three routines – their favourite dance of the series, the judge’s pick, and a spectacular show dance.

Chris and Dianne’s Show Dance will be performed to You Get What You Give by New Radicals, their Couple’s Choice will be danced to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon, and they’ll waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers, reports the Manchester Evening News.

As they wrapped up their final week of training yesterday (Thursday, December 12) before heading into the ballroom for rehearsals today (Friday, December 13), Dianne shared a video on Instagram which began with Chris filming his VT at the start of the series.

She then reminisced over their journey by sharing a series of videos featuring highlights from the series, culminating in a clip from their final training session. “Chris, we’ve just finished rehearsal for the last time,” Dianne can be heard saying, with Chris responding that he was “knackered”.

Dianne went on to ask: “It’s been a blast hasn’t it, Chris? ” with Chris replying: “It’s been incredible and it’s been unforgettable and just far beyond anything I ever thought it’d be,” before the pair shared a warm embrace.

Accompanying the montage, Dianne expressed her feelings, writing: “Chris is that best friend that I never knew I needed @chrismccauslandcomedy.”

Pro dancer Katya Jones couldn’t hold back her emotions, commenting: “This make me so emotional! I love you two! “.

Their companions on the dancing circuit chimed in with affectionate remarks, as Lauren Oakley declared: “The little kiss and pat on the cheek. You two.”

Fellow dancers Vito Coppola and Nancy Xu joined in by posting a flurry of red heart emojis. The camaraderie stretched beyond dance, with Strictly champ Stacey Dooley reacting: “Just beautiful.”

and ex-Dancing on Ice star Alex Murphy cheering: “Rooting for you! ! ! ! “.
