Two men are facing theft and gun charges after a vehicle was reported stolen in Scarborough.

Toronto Police said officers responded to a call at midnight Friday for a stolen vehicle that was located in the Warden Ave. and Bridletowne Circle area.
It is alleged that cops arrived to the area and blocked the vehicle in a parking spot. The driver of the vehicle then collided with an unmarked police vehicle.
Police said the two suspects then attempted to flee the area on foot. After a foot pursuit, officers were able to arrested two suspects.
Cops further allege that a firearm and magazine were found on one of the suspects, and tools used to steal vehicles were also located.
Abdul Anjam, 23, of Brampton, and Jahid Golan, 24, of Mount Hope have been charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000, occupy motor vehicle with a firearm, possess firearm without a licence, possess restricted weapon knowing no authority, possess prohibited device, possess firearm other than restricted firearm knowingly not holding a licence, and possess electric device for motor vehicle theft.
Anjam is also accused of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possess a restricted firearm with ammunition, while Golan is facing two counts of possess firearm while prohibited and escape lawful custody.
SUSPECT SOUGHT FOR DOWNTOWN ROBBERY
Toronto Police are turning to the public to help identify a male suspect following a downtown robbery last month.
Police said a group of people tried to enter a ride-share vehicle in the McCaul St. and Queen St. W. area on Nov. 16 at approximately 6:45 a.m.
According to police, the victim refused to drive the group. One man in the group assaulted the victim and stole the victim’s cellphone and fled in an unknown direction.
The victim sustained minor injuries, cops added.
The suspect is described as in his early 20s, 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds with a thin build. He was wearing a black-hooded sweater with a picture of “Snoop Dogg” on the front, black pants and a ski mask.

AJAX MAN, 35, FACING FIREARM, DRUG AND PROBATION CHARGES
An Ajax man facing numerous gun and drug offences is also accused of failing to comply with probation orders following a police investigation.
Durham Regional Police said investigators from the Human Trafficking Unit began a probe last month into a man believed to be in possession of a firearm and involved in trafficking females.
On Wednesday, investigators, along with the assistance of the robbery unit, arrested the suspect and initiated search warrants in Ajax, police said.
Cops performed a search of the suspect and found a loaded handgun in his front waistband. Two additional loaded handguns, a quantity of drugs, and numerous electronics were also found during the search, police said.
Mario K. Francis, 35, is charged with three counts of possess loaded restricted/prohibited firearm, three counts of possess restricted/prohibited firearm – no licence, possess prohibited device, carry concealed weapon, three counts of careless storage of a firearm, occupy vehicle with firearm, tampering with serial number, cocaine possession, and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

HAMILTON COP SEEK MAN FOR 2023 SHOOTING
Police in Hamilton are appealing to the public for help locating a man wanted for a shooting a year ago.
According to Hamilton Police, a person suffered non-life-threatening injuries when shots were fired in the area of Bradbury Rd. and Penny Lane on Dec. 1, 2023.
On Friday, investigators issued an arrest warrant for 44-year-old Randy Douglas of Hamilton.
He is accused of careless storage of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
