Primark customers are split over the price tag of a new pyjama set that’s hit the shelves. While some reckon the cost is “a bit much” for the value-focused shop, others can’t get enough.

Shoppers showed a clear interest last month when the shop released an £8 pyjama set adorned with the teddy bear design. It quickly went viral, selling out nationwide quicker than staff could restock the cosy microfleece outfit.

Yet, the latest teddy outfit seems just out of reach for certain shoppers. The full look, featuring fluffy long trousers and coordinating teddy socks, was showcased on TikTok (@Liverpoolprimarktrends).

The unbuttoned top casually hung off one shoulder, revealing a hint of red underwear. But the price point raised eyebrows – each piece, the top and bottoms, comes with a £16 price tag, reports the Mirror.

Although sold separately, allowing for mix-and-match options, many wanting the whole outfit felt that £32 is pushing it for Primark. Comments ranged from hopeful to shocked.

One said: “I loved this then I saw the price! I’ll wait for the sale!” Another paired a string of shocked emojis with: “£32 for PJs from Primark!”

A third asked: “Anyone else notice Primark is getting soon expensive now?” Someone else added: “As lovely as they are, and as warm as they may be, I’m not liking the price so I have to pass!”

Despite the price tag, some Primark customers are unfazed, with one shopper commenting: “I’ve just got these, love them soooo cute an comfy.” Another added: “Got these yesterday, so comfy.”

Some were wondering if they could reserve the items online, using the click and collect service that some Primark’s offer. However, some quickly shared that this is an in-store exclusive.

In other news from Primark, the retailer is receiving accolades for items like a statement coat from Rita Ora’s collection, retailing at £40. The pop star, who has collaborated with the high street giant before, has designed a faux fur coat that has been described as “just looks so cosy”.

Additionally, with the festive season approaching, shoppers are flocking to Primark for their Christmas party outfits, with a £32 glitter co-ord catching eyes for its blend of “smart dressing and a dash of glamour”.
