Mourners have gathered for the funeral of Chloe Ferris in west Belfast today.
The 24-year-old, who was out in the city celebrating her 25th birthday in Lux nightclub, fell unconscious and died in the venue, while another friend was hospitalised, in the early hours of Sunday.
The funeral of Chloe took place at St Pauls Church in west Belfast, followed by burial in Milltown Cemetery.
Widespread tributes were paid to Ms Ferris after the news broke at the weekend.
Ms Ferris has been described as “beautiful inside and out” in emotional tributes shared online.
A death notice described Ms Ferris as the “beloved daughter of Declan and Sharon, much-loved sister of Christopher, Declan, and Barry, cherished aunt, niece, cousin, part of the ‘Sister Squad,’ and friend to many”.
Speaking to the Irish News from the family home in Newtownabbey, her father Declan told the newspaper the tragedy was “beyond belief”.
He said the west Belfast woman, who ran a successful beauty business in Newtownabbey, was someone who had a close circle of friends and loved to travel the world.
