Aldi has revealed a new range of luxury baubles, inspired by the most unusual items found in its middle aisle.
The set of baubles are designed after the supermarket’s best-selling items from both in-store and online purchases.
Now, shoppers can bring a bit of Aldi into their homes with their latest selection of baubles. The new range are made from 3D-printed resin and finished by hand.
Aldi fans can even hang an air fryer from their Christmas tree if they wish. This popular cooking gadget was a huge success with supermarket customers, selling out in just 24 hours and moving an impressive 70,000 units in two years.
Also included in the pack is a miniature version of the famous inflatable hot tubs that the supermarket stocks during the summer months. Other quirky items include a decorative chainsaw, heated airer and pressure washer.
According to a survey conducted by the supermarket, three-quarters of shoppers have left the store with a Specialbuy item, despite initially planning to only do a regular shop.
An impressive nine out of 10 shoppers visit the middle aisle during their weekly shop, regardless of whether they plan to purchase anything from it.
A keen two-thirds of shoppers look forward to visiting the middle aisle when they shop – eager to see if they can snag a bargain. A significant 84 per cent have visited the store solely to check out what’s on offer in the specialbuy section.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, stated: “At Aldi, we know our Specialbuys are one of the reasons shoppers love to visit our stores, as they never know what they’re going to find whilst doing their weekly food shop.
“This Christmas, we wanted to celebrate our wonderful middle aisle in a festive and fun way. From hot tubs to air fryers, these baubles are a must-have for Specialbuy fans.
“Shoppers looking to get their hands on a pack of these limited-edition baubles will need to be quick, because as with all Aldi Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!”
