Singer-songwriter Daniel Bedingfield will be coming to Belfast with a headline gig in the Limelight next year.
The Brit Award-winning New Zealand-British artist – whose sister is fellow singer Natasha Bedingfield – will play the gig on May 20, 2025.
It comes as he celebrates the 20-year anniversary of his debut album and is part of a tour which has seen him performing live in the UK for the first time since 2005.
The 44-year-old first hit the music scene in the early 2000s with hits including breakout “Gotta Get Thru This” .The song, inspired by a break-up with a girlfriend, was recorded in the star’s bedroom, using a microphone plugged to his home computer.
He followed it with “James Dean”, “If You’re Not The One” and “Never Gonna Leave Your Side”.
Gotta Get Thru This went straight to number one and his debut album, of the same name, also topped the UK charts.
His best-selling debut album peaked at Number 2 in the UK Albums Chart and has since sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
Bedingfield has also co-written tracks with the likes of Pixie Lott, SecondCity and American Idol finalist David Archuleta.
Meanwhile, in 2016 he appeared on the West End stage as The Artilleryman in Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds, and he has also starred as a judge on the first series of the New Zealand X Factor.
