A ‘legendary Scottish band’ is set to headline the Friday of Bristol Sounds next year. Bringing hits from their decades long career to Bristol’s Harbourside, Texas will be top of the bill on Friday, June 27, 2025.
With them will come a setlist full of anthems including ‘I Don’t Want A Lover’, ‘Say What You Want’, and ‘Inner Smile’. It comes after three other headliners have already been announced for the other days of the open air gig series, which takes place at the Amphitheatre – Supergrass on June 25, Kaiser Chiefs on June 26, and Olly Murs on June 29.
Fronted by the one-and-only Sharleen Spiteri, Texas has sold over 40 million records worldwide, attracting fans across generations with their ‘timeless melodies and electrifying performances’.
Audiences can expect hits from across their career, as well as recent favourites like ‘Mr. Haze’ and ‘Keep on Talking’, featured in their acclaimed ‘The Very Best Of 1989-2023’.
Conal Dodds, promoter at Crosstown Concerts, said: “The very first CD I was ever sent by someone in the music industry was by Texas, in 1989. I have loved the band ever since and I’m thrilled that we have them headlining our Friday night of Bristol Sounds.
“I can’t wait to hear Sharleen’s incredible voice across the Harbourside next year. This is going to be a very special show!”
Super fans of the Scottish six piece can sign up for pre-sale access over on the band’s website, where tickets will go live on Wednesday, December 4, at 9am, with general tickets on sale from Friday, December 6, at 9am.
