Toronto Police have released video footage of a suspect vehicle as they attempt to track down the driver of a white Cadillac Escalade that fled the scene of a now-fatal hit-and-run last week in Scarborough.
Toronto Police said that a pedestrian who was struck in a collision last Thursday — a 71-year-old man — died of his injuries in a hospital on Saturday.
Police said they responded to the crash on Thursday at about 11:50 p.m. in the Kennedy Rd.-McNicoll Ave. area of north Scarborough.
A white Cadillac Escalade travelling westbound on McNicoll turned left onto Kennedy and collided with the pedestrian before fleeing the scene.
Anyone with information or dashcam video is asked to call police at 416-808-1900, or contact Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS or at 222tips.com.
