A new cocktail bar has opened in Bristol. The Juke Box, which says it is ‘Bristol’s best late night cocktail bar’, is on Park Street in the former home of the Four Quarters arcade bar.
It promises to serve up live music and ‘great’ cocktails. According to its website, The Juke Box promises an idea of ‘escapism’, describing the venue as being “the kind of place where you can take a date, catch up with an old friend, experience talented artists and bartenders alike, or have a huge party on a weekend”, confirming it will be hosting upcoming local artists of a wide variety of genres.
It goes on to say: “In a world where grabbing a drink can feel more like a rushed transaction, we’re here to bring back the true art of hospitality. This isn’t just a bar—it’s a place to feel genuinely seen and welcomed. Our team is here to connect with you, not just serve you, making each visit something special.
“Step inside, unwind, and rediscover what it means to be a guest, not just another order. At our bar, every pour, every conversation, and every smile is part of the experience that keeps people coming back.”
Bristol ‘born and bred’, Ashley Greaves is the man behind The Juke Box, and says he is ‘bringing his hometown roots and love for great music to every cocktail served’. The new bar venue opened its doors on November 14. Inside, a cosy fireplace and sofas, guitars hanging on walls, and dramatic dim lighting, are all part of the aesthetic.
The closure of Four Quarters
This new opening comes following the permanent closure of the Bristol Four Quarters venue at the same address. Four Quarters had an array of arcade machines and gaming consoles people could book while enjoying a craft beer or cocktail.
But on October 4, it Bristol posted the following message to its Facebook page, announcing its closure: “Time to say goodbye! We are sad to say our time here on Park Street has come to an end.
“Though Four Quarters carries on gaming and serving awesome bevs in London and Newcastle, our Bristol site is now closed. We’d like to thank all those that came to drink with us these last few years- the gamers, the quizzers- all the club nights like Lost Track of Time and Bristol Northern Soul.
“Of course also thanks to the staff who brought the site to life. We are sure we will see you again soon in Bristol but until then check out our three London sites and our Newcastle one for all things 4Q.”
