PROTECT OUR JEWISH NEIGHBOURS
A huge thank you to all of your columnists — especially Lilley, Gunter, Goldstein, Warmington and Kinsella — who give us an overview of country and global events every day. Their pragmatic and (in my perception) accurate reporting gives us a clearer understanding of what is happening. I was born here in 1946 and the statement of Trudeau’s about arresting Netanyahu is not who I am as a Canadian. Our Jewish neighbours deserve our protection, and anyone who says otherwise should be asked to leave. Amen!

(Thank you for reading. Our columnists are the best in the business. For most of us, Trudeau’s sentiments do not reflect who we are)
TIME FOR ANSWERS
Re “PM abandons Israel, emboldens Jew haters” (Editorial, Nov. 22): If you think there is not a plausible case to be made that both Israel and Hamas have seriously violated the Geneva Convention during this conflict, then you must be very much asleep at the switch. There may be, in fact, justifiable reasons for the violations, most notably on the side of Israel, but that is a matter for the court to decide. We are signatories to the ICC and as such it behooves us to allow the process to proceed. Let Israel stand up and justify its actions, otherwise these protocols mean nothing. The fact that no Hamas leader is left standing has no bearing whatsoever in this matter. And let me be clear: Hamas has far more to answer for in this conflict than Israel, but giving Israel carte blanche to act as it wishes is certainly not the answer. I was under the impression that we try to apply rules fairly and equally and don’t defer to who our “friends” and “enemies” are.

(Israel isn’t “acting as it wishes.” Their tactics before striking warning civilian populations, evacuating them is more than what the terrorists do who care nothing about preserving life)
HATE CRIMES
Don’t call them pro-Palestinian supporters when they’re really pro-Hamas. And why aren’t they being arrested? What is stopping all levels of government from dealing with these pathetic, racist, antisemitic hate crimes.

(They keep spreading their hate, and it is high time they were held accountable)
