Noel Gallagher has dubbed Tottenham the ‘biggest frauds in football’ and defended Manchester City amid their recent bad run of form.
Pep Guardiola’s side have lost their last five matches across all competitions and, on Saturday, were thrashed 4-0 by Tottenham on their own turf.
Question marks are being asked of the reigning Premier League champions, who have won the title for the past four years in a row.
Gallagher, however, isn’t too concerned.

The City superfan, speaking to talkSPORT, has dismissed Tottenham’s victory by calling them the ‘biggest frauds in football’.
And he’s also insisted that it’s far too early to write off his team, who lock horns with Feyenoord in the Champions League tonight.
“I was just saying to my lad last night, he’s 17. He’s never known anything other than glory for Man City,” he said.
“He was like, well, what’s going to happen now? We’ve lost five games in a row.

“And I was like, Well, I said, this is what it used to be like when Manchester United used to lose in the 90s and the whole country used to go into meltdown.
“And I did, you know, we all did as City fans.
“So you just got to take it that the team has reached extraordinary heights and any little stumble is going to be met with glee with the rest of the football world.
“But I wouldn’t write us off just yet. I wouldn’t write us off just yet.
“If we carry on playing the way we’re playing, we’re not going to win the league.
“But, you know, are Liverpool going to carry on their form? It’s a long way to go.
“If we were eight points behind with four games left it might be different, but there’s 20 odd games left.
“So there’s all to play for yet.”

Gallagher is, however, unsure what to expect from City these days.
Once their clash with Feyenoord is out of the way they will lock horns with Premier League table-toppers Liverpool in a huge fixture on Sunday.
Gallagher, when asked what his expectations are, added: “Nothing. We never win at Anfield.
“The season’s been so perverse for us, it’d be like us to lose tonight against Feyenoord and then go and win at Anfield.
Noel Gallagher insists Man City can’t be written off despite their poor form as they prepare to lock horns with Feyenoord in the Champions League

“I don’t know what we’re going to get from City. For the last month, you look at the teams coming out and they look relaxed and happy and Pep looks relaxed and happy and signed a new deal.
“And Rodri was waving his thing on the pitch and all that. And you were thinking, this is good and then and then that happens on Saturday.
“So I’m not sure what we’re going to get tonight with Feyenoord. I know Feyenoord are flying and they’re going to come at us from the whistle and they’re going to go at it.
“You’ve just got to suck it up and play through it. That’s all you can do.”
